I would probably say that Batman does not believe in God. After all, he is really into science.
If Batman does believe in God, he is probably really pissed off at God, for letting his parents die at the hands of a petty asshole burglar.
So if Batman is really angry at God, well, Christians and non-Christians alike buy his comic books and watch movies featuring him. So Batman could acknowledge the existence of God, merely by being angry at God.
But I really don't think that Batman believes in God. But I believe a nation of Christians has been obsessed with Batman for over 50 years. I guess that Christian imagery gets a little boring, and the mind needs an escape, so it turns to Batman and Catwoman in tight leather, and Batgirl in that sexy outfit of hers. Haha.
To my knowledge, Batman has never really talked about God much. I think he is concerned with other things.
So why do Christians even bother with Batman?
Sure, Batman is just a fictional character.
However, I think God is a fictional character, just completely made-up. Ancient peoples used to have many gods and goddesses, then some people got the idea to just simplify it into one God. Boring. Just a way to keep the troops in line.
Does Robin believe in God? Could be, not sure. I don't think Robin would discuss that with Batman, though.
Is it important for superheroes to believe in God? You don't see Spider-Man telling people to love Jesus. In fact, you hardly ever see superheroes deal with what religion they are. They must be pagans, or the comic book companies don't want to touch that one.
The Mighty Thor is definitely a pagan. He is a demi-god himself.
Captain America, he might be a Christian.
Wolverine is probably an atheist. He doesn't give a fuck.
***** ************* **************
Well, it was a good day. Got my webcam to work again with the help of my brother on gmail. We gave up trying to make it work again on Windows Live Messenger. It used to work on that, then one day, it just stopped. We uninstalled all Windows material, and reinstalled the new stuff. We just could not get it to work. Gmail webcam worked great right away, no problem, so there is my tech update.
I did my drawing session this morning, that worked out good.
I drank lots of coffee, and did my pen and ink with marker drawings. It is a lot of fun.
Before a couple of days ago, I had never drawn a half horse naked pregnant blonde woman before, so there you go.
I still do not know what the extent is of what kind of drawings I can or can not put up on this blog yet. It is all over 18, but I still don't know. Not sure of what photos I can put up, if I have to own the copyright. I don't know if it is okay to put naked pictures of people I find on the web. Seems like a pain to research it. I guess I'll just inch ahead forward until someone complains. The basic idea is not to offend anyone, but I've met people who get offended at things, and I don't know what they know about the world anyway, so you can't believe them.
I am so tired of 'You gotta protect the children!' Fuck it, they shouldn't be on my blog anyway.
If your kid is on my website, you are a bad parent. I said it was for people 18 and over, so don't bitch at me.
'Art is Mostly Harmless,' is the best way I know of that I can put it. Haha.
Some people think certain kinds of art should not exist. Too fucking bad. More than one way to look at the world.
I'm having fun regurgitating a lot of things that have been thrown at me through television and movies in the last thirty years. Fuck it. My turn to talk.
Thanks, Google, and to people who made blogs possible. I love instant publishing, even if no one reads this. Who cares if they do or don't?
No one has commented on this blog to my knowledge yet. Again, who cares? It would be nice, but it would be rare to get a decent comment, just look at youtube. Egads, a lot of people write a lot of vile, stupid, ignorant stuff there.
The most vile hate speech I've ever read in my life can be found in youtube comments. That is in complete contradiction to the community standards that people are supposed to have for the videos they make.
I have a solution. Have a youtube for people under 18, and have one for people over 18. Problem solved. Otherwise, it just becomes another control thing about what we can and can not do, and that sucks, especially if it is art.
The human body becomes an obscene object that must never be shown in art, so then people just watch animal videos for the cute factor, and don't even have to deal with other humans. All that cuteness with baby animals..I can only take so much of it. No relevance to anything going on in the world. Ok, it is a baby piglet, so what? What does that have to do with anything? Jesus.
So, I figure I can get away with putting some naked zombie drawings up on this blog. That will be fun. After all, it would be in a 'fictional context'.
I've drawn naked people in figure drawing classes for twenty years, so nudity to me is no big deal. But it is in The United States of America. People make such a big deal about it, when it is no big deal at all. Just a pair of tits, and maybe a dick. Haha. Some ass bending over, and people are ready to have a heart attack, unless they are viewing it in private, then they look at whatever they goddamn want to. Lots of girls like looking through what smut I have laying around. They won't collect it themselves, for fear of having people think things, but they don't mind looking at it when someone else has it, haha. All these fake and phony standards that we are expected to live up to are just bullshit, stupid crap that our parents imposed on us. Stupid, huh?
Does Batman believe in God? I don't think Batman gives a flying fuck about God.

The Thousand Year Goblin War
I need a ticket to go where I want to in this world.
So far, it's been a one-way ticket to hell.
But thanks to my sister, Mary Lovins, I discovered the music of Daniel Johnston. I really liked Daniel's music.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qXmZn6Fv0Yg There is the short video I made of the photograph I took of my sister. She liked the video.
It was a good night hanging out. My friend showed up, so my sister, my friend, and I, hung out, and had a good time.
I was going to do this blog last night, but I was a little out of it. No point in doing a blog when you are a little drunk.
Right now, I want to get dressed, and get to the cafe. I want to continue on with my drawing. I'm on a roll. Hard for me to get the day started sometimes. Not always easy to pull myself together.
We are all a bunch of animals that can talk, is how I think of humans...haha.
If anyone does read my blog, I am sure they are probably here for the pictures, so it is good to put lots of pictures here on this blog.
I haven't really come up with a name that I like for my fictional land. I've tried a couple of names, but nothing has really stuck yet. Basically, I'm trying to create a world in which all of my art can exist in. It's a 'David Lovins Alternate Universe Thing' so far. It is kind of Dungeons & Dragons influenced. It is based in San Francisco as a starting point. I am still working on a lot of the details. It takes time.
I've been playing a lot less video games lately, because now the question is, "What kind of video can I make about the game so I can post it on youtube?" That's been a fun question to ask. It gives purpose to my game playing, and gives me content to put on youtube. I like that.
My biggest problem right now is getting some income to come in. Now that baseball season is over, and that the Giants won the World Series, I need a job. Eeeeeeek. I need one right away.
I am hoping to make something happen today. You never know what will happen until you try.
All a bunch of goblins out there, constantly. It's in the middle of a thousand year goblin war.

Hey.
"What do I have to do? I'll fucking do it, whatever the goddamn fuck it is. You want me to dress in a nice business suit? Have a fancy portfolio with awesome artwork in it to carry around and show clients? I'll fucking do it. But forget about the hair, I ain't cuttin' it. I finally got skinny enough to have long hair again, so fuck the world. They are just going to have to deal with it, and besides, it isn't even a big issue anyway. All that really matters is if the work is good, and that I can get the job done, Jesus Christ."
With that, he stormed out of the apartment. He could barely give a fuck, so he just started to walk to blow off steam. He needed to think, to reset his mind, and move on from there.
Walking was his way to cool down. It did him good.
Just all the pressures of daily existence, upcoming engagements, errands, all those meaningless tasks just slowed him down, weighed him down. Just all the bullshit that society creates stifles the individual spirit.
He was sick and tired of it all, that was for sure.
So he kept walking. An hour had gone by. He had walked past homes and businesses, past people, and he was still heavy in his heart and mind, even at the core of his soul.
Things just felt unresolved, and impossible. If only he could think clearly. He lit up a cigarette. That made him feel better, and less angry.
"Fuck," I feel better now," he thought to himself as he blew out a puff of smoke after a big inhale. "Maybe things aren't that bad, I just needed to walk it all off. Yes, I feel much better now."
He looked up at the moon. It was a half-moon. He did not know if it was waxing or waning.
With that, he walked down the street and found a neighborhood bar to kick back in. Having a beer and jamming out to some tunes, he started to have a good time.

Middle of The Night
Damn, I am up. I woke up. Now what? Nothing else to do but blog. I would make a video, but I have to be in the right frame of mind for that. There is no use to make a disjointed middle of the night video that won't turn out any good. I am starting to realize that it is worthwhile to make halfway decent videos, because they are on youtube forever, so you might as well make something good. Every once in a while, I watch a video I made months ago, and I get disappointed if I didn't do a good job. I don't want people to watch my videos if I didn't do my best. So I am trying to improve the quality of my videos, and just not post any old thing. It doesn't do anybody any good to watch a crap video. Also helpful is to put real information in the videos that people can actually use, instead of just doing some kind of smart ass thing.
Free Realms is a pretty decent game. I bought a three story haunted house, it was on sale, and I happened to have the Station Cash for it. Woot! I wanted that house bad, and now I have one. I am looking forward to making a video of that.
My oldest brother got onto Free Realms. Maybe it will help a little, who knows? We'll see what happens.
Yesterday was the first time I went outside to draw bringing my markers with me. It is such a pain to bring paints. Markers are fun and easy to use, and they get the job done. With my younger brother doing some computer colors on some of my art online, the markers help give him a guide, instead of him working from scratch, trying to make up colors and guessing. So the markers are rad for me. I'm going to have to get some pro markers so I can really go to town. I love all the colors of markers. The ones they have at the art store have all the tones of grey, and a lot of very unusual colors, but those can get quite pricey. I want them all. The problem with markers is they eventually dry out, so you got to use them, and make lots of art with them.
Remember those markers with flavored scents? I used to love those. In fact, I need to get some of those smelly markers.
You can never have enough colors of markers once you get going.
So, I'm still discovering The Wonderful World of Blogs. I haven't discovered some decent blogs that I myself want to read and subscribe to. I'm sure there is something out there for me, I just have to look a little harder. If the blog is about someone's cats or kids, I don't care.
I have an hour and a half until the coffee shop opens...egads.
I saw two girls at the cafe with a drawing pad, and I could see they were working on fashion drawings, too. But I don't think they were as good as mine. Haha. They were probably fashion students, I saw they had notes. I like to draw real girls wearing real clothes, with real bodies underneath those clothes. Fuck fashion. It can be whatever you want it to be, not what is in some stupid magazine with horse shit that companies are trying to sell. I could give a fuck what Vogue does. All I have to do is go hang out at my coffee shop in The Mission, and I see more than enough fashion to make my eyes pop with wonder and amazement. It's the real deal what these girls are wearing. I like it.
I saw a young hipster guy yesterday with sideburns. He was something else, all tall and skinny. He was trying to get the attention of the two fashion girls sitting near me. They didn't give a fuck about him, that was funny to see.
I look at what men wear, and I get bored most of the time. No wonder women get bored with what men wear. But I have to draw men, too, for my comic books. So...I'm going to have to get started with that.
So that was a trip getting onto Free Realms with my oldest brother. He is a noob. It's his first online game. It's going to take him a while to figure out the game. I don't want to be there to show him the ropes, he's going to have to learn on his own. I can help him with some basic things, if he pays attention. He tried to jump onto my hoverboard and my dragon, but guess what? It doesn't work. He is going to have to get his own goddamn dragon, haha.
I have another brother who likes violent video games, but he doesn't like profanity. Go figure. So that translates to me that he enjoys killing, but not saying 'shit'. Killing to me is worse than a swear word. That's like going to 'Nam and doing a lot of killing, but not saying the words 'damn, fuck, motherfucker'. What's the point of going to war if you can't swear as you are pulling the trigger? Jesus Christ.
So I have some fucking shit to do around here. Damn. It doesn't get done by itself, that is for sure.

"Is There Ever a Reason To Use Profanity?" Comic Strip by David Lovins
Well, there it is. I've been inching forward little by little to see what I can and can not do on this blog. Profanity is acceptable in movies. 'Pulp Fiction' was an R rated movie with lots of profanity in it. People paid good money to see Samuel L. Jackson tear it up.
This blog is for people 18 and over, so that means I can swear in it if I want.
I don't know what the big deal is. I hear swearing every day in The Mission in San Francisco, and all over the city in areas rich and poor. I certainly heard a lot of it while I lived in Los Angeles.
You know where I heard the most amount of profanity ever in my life on a daily basis? Mueller Park Jr. High and Bountiful High School, in L.D.S. dominated Bountiful, Utah. That is where I learned how to swear prolifically.
Now you know why I love South Park.
Tuesday Morning
The new South Park is pretty cool. 'Mysterion Rises' is a great episode. It has a lot of things going for it. One of them is they show how to properly film as if it was a comic book. The comic panels they show are done really well. They put some time into this episode. The shop teacher even makes a cameo.
All I have to do is make a video, and I know it will get hits. I want my youtube channel to be successful. Music videos get a lot of hits, so all I have to do is make music videos, and put my art in there, so people can see my art while they listen to a song. Not many people watch my art videos, and why should they? No reason. I really am trying to make some good videos at this point, as good as I can make them. Every once in a while, I watch my old videos to see if I am entertained by them. Always room for improvement. Stuttering, or having slow parts of boring dialogue to listen to doesn't help. Busting people's chops with tedious things to sit through sucks, so I'm trying to remedy that.
I have to pay rent. Yikes. I got the money, but I really need some new revenue sources. I'll have to work on that. Fuck, I'll just create my own sources, since I don't want to work a normal stupid job.
Profanity can be really funny, depending on who wields the words of curse. I try to refrain, but sometimes I can't help it. When you haven't gotten laid in a while, swearing can be a good outlet at times.
I like the new fancy rainboots that girls wear these days with graphic patterns on them. I'm not especially fond of snow boots in an urban setting. Some girls look good in them if the boots help them to look like a cute, little bunny playing in the snow, but some girls just don't look too good in them if they are 40 pounds overweight wearing tight pants waddling down the street. They want to be a part of the snow boot phenomenon, but it doesn't work for everyone.
So I've been making fashion drawings. I want to try doing some plaid shirts in markers. I saw some great girls with plaid shirts yesterday, and they looked great.
If I could find some decent small-tipped ink pens, that would be great. Ball point pens suck, but sometimes, that's all I got.
I did this portrait in three hours yesterday, working from a photo. It was not an easy job. I made ten bucks from it. I did it as a favor because he runs the tobacco shop next door, and that is where I get my coffee, too. Maybe it will lead to other work, you never know. I'm more than happy to get faction points in this neighborhood. He's a real nice guy, too.
So here is a drawing I found. There is another page to this somewhere, that has the left foot on it, but I can't tell you where it is. I think this is a pretty good drawing. My friend said it looked like I had kicked her in the baby maker and she was holding her gut in pain. It is just how she posed.
I'm always happy to put naked drawings on this blog. The more the better.

These shoes were thrown up there. Pretty unusual shoes to be hanging near the Bart station at 16th and Mission.
Well, to be honest, there are lots of prostitutes in the area, so I am wondering if some lady died, and someone threw her shoes up there.

Untitled Blog on a Nice, Rainy Sunday
Well, I might as well blog, it is something to do. I used to sit at my manual typewriter for hours, and get into a real groove, and go to town with the 'act of writing'. I don't know if what I wrote was any good. It is hard for me to read any of it now. But with a blog, I know that someday someone might actually read this, even if it is me, that is fine. Knowing that someone is out there, even me in the future reading this, is nice. So I might as well, do as good as I can with the writing, whereas on the typewriter, I didn't give a fuck, because I knew no one was ever going to read it, haha.
Let's just say that I've never had too good of luck finding a publisher.
Anyway, I went to the cafe, had my coffee, and continued on with my illustration work, which is coming along very good. Like with the blog, I have a reason to do my best work, since I can actually put it on the web and make it available, which is something I've never been able to do before. Instant Publishing is fantastic, I love it. Andy Warhol would have loved this shit.
Andy could just write his diary entries on his blog, and it would be instantly published. He would absolutely love that.
I love the colors on this umbrella, they are beautiful. Also, it was very sweet how this older couple were walking, clinging to each other under the safety of the umbrella. It was very cute.
It was a good day at the cafe. It was the height of fashion in there today, with girls dressing up for the rain, many like to dress up as if it were snowing with their Hoth fur coats, haha, I love it. I made drawings. It feels weird to photograph people when they just want a cup of coffee, so I try to refrain most of the time.
Here is my 'Fear The Beard' medieval warrior that I drew in the cafe today. It came out good, using pencil and markers.
I was having fun drawing the girls. I can't wait to add the marker colors to them.
I'm having the time of my life drawing lately. What changed recently is deciding to work on bigger sheets of paper. This has given me a feeling of tremendous freedom and space. I absolutely love it. I don't know why it took me so long. It is just easy to carry around my little clipboard is why, and my drawing board does not fit into my gym locker, so that is why. But since the coffee shop is just around the corner, I can go in there with all my stuff.
Some musicians are practicing today, but they are not too loud. I hope they learn how to play soon, it's been a couple of years. I love to jam out when the music is good, but none of the bands around my art studio really make music that people want to listen to. They are kind of noobish. I can turn on 1000 different bands on youtube within two seconds, and find something better than what they do. I wish they would do the same. They are like kids with instruments, but where is the focus and the musicianship? I don't know. I don't hear it.
Tonight will be more Magic The Gathering, and see what happens.
Laters.
And to the David of the Future: Well, when you read this, don't forget to laugh as much as you can, and hopefully you will get laid by the time you next come across this blog, because you really need it, dude...haha. :)
