Untitled Blog on a Nice, Rainy Sunday

Well, I might as well blog, it is something to do.  I used to sit at my manual typewriter for hours, and get into a real groove, and go to town with the 'act of writing'.  I don't know if what I wrote was any good.  It is hard for me to read any of it now.  But with a blog, I know that someday someone might actually read this, even if it is me, that is fine.  Knowing that someone is out there, even me in the future reading this, is nice.  So I might as well, do as good as I can with the writing, whereas on the typewriter, I didn't give a fuck, because I knew no one was ever going to read it, haha.
Let's just say that I've never had too good of luck finding a publisher.

Anyway, I went to the cafe, had my coffee, and continued on with my illustration work, which is coming along very good.  Like with the blog, I have a reason to do my best work, since I can actually put it on the web and make it available, which is something I've never been able to do before.  Instant Publishing is fantastic, I love it.  Andy Warhol would have loved this shit.
Andy could just write his diary entries on his blog, and it would be instantly published.  He would absolutely love that.

I love the colors on this umbrella, they are beautiful.  Also, it was very sweet how this older couple were walking, clinging to each other under the safety of the umbrella.  It was very cute.

It was a good day at the cafe.  It was the height of fashion in there today, with girls dressing up for the rain, many like to dress up as if it were snowing with their Hoth fur coats, haha, I love it.  I made drawings.  It feels weird to photograph people when they just want a cup of coffee, so I try to refrain most of the time.

Here is my 'Fear The Beard' medieval warrior that I drew in the cafe today.  It came out good, using pencil and markers.
I was having fun drawing the girls.  I can't wait to add the marker colors to them.
I'm having the time of my life drawing lately.  What changed recently is deciding to work on bigger sheets of paper.  This has given me a feeling of tremendous freedom and space.  I absolutely love it.  I don't know why it took me so long.  It is just easy to carry around my little clipboard is why, and my drawing board does not fit into my gym locker, so that is why.  But since the coffee shop is just around the corner, I can go in there with all my stuff.

Some musicians are practicing today, but they are not too loud.  I hope they learn how to play soon, it's been a couple of years.  I love to jam out when the music is good, but none of the bands around my art studio really make music that people want to listen to.  They are kind of noobish.  I can turn on 1000 different bands on youtube within two seconds, and find something better than what they do.  I wish they would do the same.  They are like kids with instruments, but where is the focus and the musicianship?  I don't know.  I don't hear it.

Tonight will be more Magic The Gathering, and see what happens.

     Laters.

And to the David of the Future:  Well, when you read this, don't forget to laugh as much as you can, and hopefully you will get laid by the time you next come across this blog, because you really need it, dude...haha.  :)
